Robert G. Kuntz

Posted

Robert G. Kuntz, age 84, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his devoted children on Jan. 21, 2016.

Bob was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and wonderful friend. He was a strong, loving, generous, positive, kind man who enriched anyone’s life he touched. Anyone who was lucky enough to have Bob in their lives was a better person because of it.

He was preceded in death by his loving first wife, Gloria Dembroski (1979), and second wife, Mae Parker (2014). He is survived by his children Cris (Kuntz) Parker Weappa and husband Chuck, Roxann (Kuntz) Richards, and son Terry, stepson Jim and wife Kandyce, stepson Don and wife Chris and stepson Tom; 14 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; siblings Don, Marilyn, Joann and Geri.

Bob was born and raised in Minneapolis, MN. He served his country proudly as a Sergeant in the Marine Corps. He and his wife, Gloria, and their three children moved to Scottsdale, AZ in 1957. Bob’s list of friends and colleagues grew over the years through his involvement in his church and his passions for family and sports, including but not limited to golfing, hunting, fishing and bowling.

Bob’s selfless dedication to assist any of his family or friend’s troubles was legendary. We have lost a wonderful father and friend too soon. Each of us will lose a part of ourselves, but all of our lives were immeasurably enriched by having known Bob.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, Jen. 31, from 6-8 p.m. at Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary, 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd, Fountain Hills. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Ascension, 12615 Fountain Hills Blvd, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.
