Richard Hall

Richard N. (“Dick”) Hall, 77, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016, after a short and sudden illness. Debra Watt, his life and love partner of more than 25 years, was by his side.

Dick moved to Fountain Hills in 1993 and enjoyed every possible moment there outdoors, soaking up the beauty of the desert all around him. A passionate lover of nature, he had a deeply spiritual soul, a clear and sharp intellect and the heart of a romantic poet.

Dick was born in Lockport, Ill., obtained his undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University, a master’s from the University of Colorado, and was an honors graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.

He went on to work in the banking industry in California and Arizona, was a former trustee of Dominican College, and a long-time board member of Lutheran Health Systems and Banner Health. He was an active member of the Fountain Hills Elks Lodge, and a past treasurer and member of the McDowell Park Association.

Pursuant to Dick’s wishes, there will be no services. Contributions in his memory can be made to the Phoenix Rescue Mission and Divine World Missionaries (Techny, Ill.).
