Richard was born at home in Irene, South Dakota, on his parents’ farm in 1928. He was captain of his high school football team and spent over 50 years with his prom queen, Marian.
Richard was a millwright and a farmer, even in Fountain Hills with tomato plants and cucumbers galore! He welcomed all to his home and was a great teacher of the trades to his family.
Richard had four children, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. We love and miss you Dad and Grandpa, until we meet again. Services are on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Messinger Mortuary 12065 N. Saguaro Blvd, Fountain Hills, AZ 85268 from 12 to 2:30 p.m. Minister at 1:00 p.m.
