Meryl Harriet (Remer) Kauzlarich, born Jan. 12, 1949 in Brooklyn, N.Y., passed away May 6, 2015 at the age of 66. Meryl was the only child of Ira and Grace Remer.
Meryl left behind her husband, James, of 40 years and two children, Cris Kauzlarich and Deanna (Kauzlarich) Brightwell, and four granddaughters, Taylor Brightwell, Kiara Kauzlarich, Madalyn and Sidney Brightwell.
She was loved and adored by her uncle and aunts, Jerry Remer, Phoebe Larson and Sue Wagner. Meryl was also cherished by Bill, Pat, Karen, Dave and Kenny Kauzlarich. After an upbringing that led her many places, Meryl settled in Des Moines, Iowa where she and James married on Dec. 14, 1975.
Meryl was employed by Qwest communications for 25 years even after relocating to Fountain Hills.
She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She touched the hearts and lives of everyone she met. Meryl was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ira and Grace Remer.
Services were held at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills on Friday May 8. Burial followed at Paradise Memorial Gardens in Scottsdale. For further information regarding contributions, a link on Deanna’s Facebook has been set up.
