Marian Elizabeth Fuller Andrews

Posted

Marian Elizabeth Fuller Andrews (Dec. 8, 1919 – Dec. 18, 2015) was born in Ann Arbor, Mich. to Harold and Marian Elizabeth Howard Fuller.

The family moved to Omaha, Neb. in 1925 where Beth graduated from North High School, then graduated from Midland College in Fremont, Neb. She served in the Women’s Army Corps in WWII and worked as a journalist.

Beth later met and married the love of her life, Gene Andrews. During a fierce blizzard in Omaha the two of them sheltered young men who proved to be Mormon missionaries. Beth and Gene embraced that faith with fervor and dedication.

They adopted a family of three young children in 1964 and lived in the Boulder, Colo. area for about 30 years where Gene was an independent home builder and Beth worked in communications at the University of Colorado. She was a creative cook, writer and painter. They led whitewater rafting trips annually on which Beth would serve ice cream three nights out in remote wilderness.

Beth and Gene later lived in Fountain Hills where he preceded her in death, as did her parents; younger brother, Richard Fuller; younger sister, ErmaGrace Fuller Conley; daughter, Karen Andrews; and son, Larry Andrews. She is survived by her son, Jack Andrews, daughter-in-law Bea Andrews; and many loving grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She will be laid to rest next to Gene and her family in Omaha.
