Luke Anthony Auston was born Dec. 7, 1984. He passed away tragically on March 16, 2015. Luke leaves behind his wife, Nicole Auston of Fountain Hills, and their two young sons, William, 3, and Alexander, 1; his father, Tom, and step-mother, Karen, of Michigan; his mother, Elisa Eilerts of Fountain Hills; his mother-in-law, Sandy Szymusiak of Fountain Hills; his father-in-law, Michael Szymusiak of San Diego, Calif.; his maternal grandparents, Bob and Inge Bolan of Fountain Hills; his paternal grandmother, Sandy Auston of Michigan; his step-sister, Candace Norem of Michigan, and her two children, Jazmine and Zach, and a step-brother, Brandon Gazda of Phoenix. Luke also had many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that he also leaves behind.

Luke lived in Fountain Hills his whole life. He was on the varsity wrestling team all four years at Fountain Hills High School. He was so proud to have been a part of the team, and during his sophomore year attended the state competition.

Luke also met his wife, Nicole, in the student store during his sophomore year of high school. Nicole and Luke were together since May of 2001. After graduating high school, Luke attended Scottsdale Community College and then Arizona State University. Luke received his bachelor of science in justice studies.

Luke was also the general manager of the Fountain Hills Pizza Hut. He worked there for 10 years before starting a career in banking and investments in 2010.

Luke was currently working as a broker’s associate at Vanguard in Scottsdale. He one day hoped to complete his Certified Financial Planner licenses.

Luke was an amazingly kind person. Everyone that met him, liked him. He was generous and caring. Luke always made people feel comfortable and at ease. Whenever he spoke to you, you had his undivided attention.

His most important roles in life were that of a devoted husband and father. Luke was an amazing father and wanted to teach his sons so many things.

He loved to travel, and his favorite place to visit was Disneyland. He visited Disneyland so many times throughout his life that he lost track. Luke was also an avid runner, and loved to run marathons, especially with Uncle Frank, Uncle Rich, and his cousin, Lexi. Luke loved life. He will be missed beyond belief by everyone who knew him.

Visitation will be held at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills on Wednesday March 25th from 2:00-7:30. The memorial service begins at 7:30pm. A fund for Luke's sons has been set up at gofundme.com.
