Elizabeth Rader Coady, age 89, a believer in Jesus Christ, passed into eternity on Nov. 14, 2015. She was born on Oct. 17, 1926 in Hopewell, Va. to Dorothy and Howard Rader. Liz is survived by a son, H. James Morgan (wife Margo) of Fountain Hills.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Vazquez, and her twin sister, Dorothy Kell. Surviving siblings include half-brothers, Charles and Tommy Smith; half-sister, Linda Jones; and sister, Loretta Couch, all from Hopewell, Va.

Coady’s grandchildren are Ryan Morgan in Beijing, China, Matthew Morgan in Seoul, South Korea, Valerie Morgan in Paris, France, and James Vazquez and Lorraine Jenkins of Phoenix.

She has one great-granddaughter, Olivia Jenkins of Phoenix; two step-grandchildren, Keith Secore from Phoenix and Katie Smith from Lake Havasu, Ariz. and five step-great-grandchildren; Kelly, Steven and Samantha Secore and Canyon and Kaia Smith.

Elizabeth had a long career of 35 years in the Civil Service as a traffic management specialist and supervisor. She moved to Arizona after her retirement in 1981 and enjoyed traveling to foreign destinations including France, England and Saudi Arabia. Liz left a lasting legacy of care and loyalty to her family.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Fountain Hills Christian Center, 16239 E. Ironwood Dr., Fountain Hills, with visitation one hour prior at 10 a.m.
