Julia Petermann

Posted

Julia Petermann, our very dear, beautiful, ever smiling mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on July 15, 2014 at the grand age of 93.

She was born Jan. 4, 1921 in Highland Grove, Minn. She and her husband, Pete, lived their final years together in Fountain Hills where they relocated in 1991, a place they were very contented and happy.

The final enjoyable six years of her life were lived at Fountain View Village Independent Living where she developed many memorable relationships.

Julia belonged to the Emblem Club, Elks Club and served as a Candy Striper at St. Joseph’s Hospital for a number of years. She spent her long, active life involved with her friends and family; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the joy of her life.

Julia is survived by son, Paul Lowell Petermann of Peoria, Ariz.; four grandchildren, Aaron Petermann of Erie, Pa., Jennifer (Jeff) Paulson of Mesa, Jessica (Doug) Jensen of Carefree and Brandon (Jamie) Petermann of Peoria; eight great-grandchildren, Madison, Avery, Orrin Petermann, Shayanne and Chase Paulson, Elise and Lila Jensen, and Jocelyn Petermann.

Julia was predeceased by her spouse, Arnold “Pete” Petermann, in 1996 and eldest son, Arlen “R” Petermann in 2013.

Calling hours will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, 2014 at Paradise Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on 92nd St. and Shea Blvd.

No services, just a time to come and pay your respects before she is placed with her husband in the columbarium wall. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary.
