Cheryl (Cheri) Adele Petretti, 56, of Fountain Hills passed away peacefully with her loved ones by her side on Nov. 7, 2013, in Scottsdale.
Born in Manhattan on June 9, 1957, she was the daughter of Marie Petretti and the late Ernest Petretti.
A graduate of The College of Staten Island and Brooklyn Law School, Cheri worked as both an attorney and medical laboratory technologist. She worked as an attorney with Salles and Danzig in New York City until 1991, when she moved to Arizona.
In Arizona, she worked as a medical laboratory technologist, lastly, with Scottsdale Healthcare. She also continued to practice law part-time, maintaining memberships to both the New York and Arizona State BAR Associations.
Cheri’s greatest joys in life were her family, friends and her love of animals. She enjoyed the great outdoors. She had a home built in Fountain Hills to enjoy the beautiful views of the Arizona Sonoran Desert. She loved to hike, travel and entertain.
In addition to her loving mother Marie, Cheri is survived by her dear sister Denise Petretti and beloved brother, Wayne Petretti. Cheri is also survived by a very large extended family and special group of friends who will greatly miss her.
