Homeschool Day at Challenger Space Center is a STEM learning experience for kids and adults of all ages, and will be held this Friday, April 10.

Workshops are available for kids of all ages at an additional fee as staff invites visitors to learn more about the simulated missions, hands on activities, Lego workshops, electricity shows, and solar viewing. This event is sponsored by Honeywell and the Arizona SciTech Festival.

Homeschool Day will begin at 9:30 a.m. with museum tours and activities. All workshops will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., but the museum is an “open-house” style for the remainder of the day.

The cost is $10 per person and registration is required. Workshops can have a maximum of 30 kids and spaces are limited. A pizza lunch is available for purchase at the event and is approximately $5 per person. Visitors are also welcome to bring their own non-refrigerated sack lunch, or leave for lunch.

Various vendors and organizations will be on property this day for families to interact with. Some of the visiting exhibitors are Primavera, Arizona Virtual Academy, SciTech, Arizona State University and more.
