Boys & Girls Club offers summer programs

Posted

Summer program registration at the Mary Ellen & Robert McKee Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale is currently under way.

Branch Director Justin Duran said he’s excited about the program the Fountain Hills branch has put together for the summer.

“Members will experience a summer unlike any they have before at the club,” he said.

The club will be running enrichment camps within the program this year.

Camps will include sports, cooking, fine arts, crafts, science, and even Legos and Nerf-based activities.

One can find out more information about the enrichment classes by going to mckeebranch.bgcs.org and going to the branch news and calendar section.

Youths and teens can sign up for an enrichment camp without being registered for the complete summer program.

Prices are listed in the catalog, however, for members registered for the summer program, the enrichment camps are included at no additional charge.

In addition to enrichment camps, members will be going on new field trips, the club will be offering new, more exciting, special events, and it will even be offering a program for members to buy daily lunch.

Registration packets can be found online by going to mckeebranch.bgcs.org and going to the forms section.

The club will be open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Youths and teens beginning in kindergarten all the way through seniors in high school are encouraged to join the club.

Should one have any questions or concerns regarding the camp, contact Duran at (480) 344.5401 or justin.duran@bgcs.org.
