Sister Cities needs four Advisory Commissioners

Fountain Hills Sister Cities is on the lookout for four new Advisory Commissioners.

The role of the Commission is to act in an advisory capacity to the Town Council in developing and promoting municipal partnerships between the Town and other similar jurisdictions in other nations.

The Commission will work with members of the Sister Cities Corporation to provide opportunities for Town officials and citizens of Fountain Hills to experience and explore other cultures through long-term community partnerships.

Applicants must be residents of Fountain Hills for a minimum of one year, and be available to attend monthly meetings. The Commissioners will be appointed by the Town Council and will serve on a volunteer basis for a three-year term beginning mid-June.

Application forms are available at the Town Hall reception desk upstairs at 16705 E. Avenue of the Fountains; or on the Town’s website at fh.az.gov/SCAC.

Applications may be sent or hand delivered to Town Hall, with the envelope marked, “Attention: Nancy Walter” and clearly marked “Sister Cities Advisory Commission Application.” Questions may be directed to Nancy Walter at 480-816-5107 or nwalter@fh.az.gov.

Applications are being accepted until 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 19.
