Shea nears completion

Motorists in Fountain Hills will see the first signs of relief from construction activity as soon as this weekend.

Nesbitt Contracting was competing work on the new asphalt surface on Shea Boulevard by Thursday afternoon. Crews will be putting on temporary pavement markings Friday, and barricades should be gone by the weekend.

Workers will continue to work in the area with landscaping and other "punch list " projects which may mean temporary traffic restrictions in a small area.

Permanent pavement markings are scheduled to be installed in about a month. The work on Saguaro Boulevard that as part of the Shea project, north to between Trevino and Monterey drives is also completed.
