More work near Saguaro, Shea
Trevino closed
Posted
Work started Monday as part of the final clean-up work associated with a gasoline spill that occurred more than a year ago.
Motorists should be advised that the already congested area at Shea and Saguaro boulevards will be even more crowded with the work being done at Trevino Drive and Saguaro.
Trevino Drive is closed at Saguaro, and the south entrances near Senor Taco and McDonald's are closed as well.
Crews are replacing asphalt and curbing that were soaked with gas after a tanker ruptured its tank after attempting to exit onto Trevino Drive and striking the McDonald's dumpster enclosure.
That project was started right in the middle of work being done on Shea to widen the Shea/Saguaro intersection and add other improvements between the Beeline Highway and the Target center.
The work on Trevino was scheduled to be completed by this weekend.
