Easter sunrise service at Fountain Park
Posted
Fountain Park’s amphitheater once again will be the setting for the annual Easter Sunrise Service.
The service, organized by the Fountain Hills Ministerial Association, starts at 6 a.m.
Ministers from most area churches will take part in the service by offering prayers, scripture readings and other activities. Attendees will need to bring a chair or blanket to sit on for the service.
Rev. Bill Good, current president of the Ministerial Association and pastor of Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church, said, “As a venue, the centerpiece of our community lends itself to a spectacular location for this beautiful service.
“We are excited to once again invite the Fountain Hills community to join us for this celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
This year’s message will be delivered by Pastor Ken Brown of Fountain Hills Presbyterian Church.
A special offering will be received for the Good Samaritan fund. This special fund, administered by the Ministerial Association, is used to help Fountain Hills residents who are going through difficult times.
A truck from Extended Hands Food Bank will be available on-site for donation of non-perishable food items.
