Council considers Miller for town manager
Grady Miller
Posted
The Town Council is apparently looking no farther than down the hall in selecting a new town manager to step in for the retiring Ken Buchanan.
The council on Thursday will consider promoting Grady Miller to serve as town manager. He is currently administrative services director.
Miller holds his bachelor’s degree in public administration from San Diego State University and received his MPA degree from Arizona State.
He worked for the City of Peoria for 20 years and worked two and one half years as town manager for Narragansett, R.I. before returning to Arizona. He came to work in Fountain Hills in July 2014.
Miller has been responsible for overseeing human resources and risk management as well as assisting Buchanan with various projects.
If the council approves the employment agreement, Miller would begin as town manager effective July 1, with a base salary of $129,500.
