Cell tower removed

Workers were busy Wednesday taking down and removing a cell tower that once served as a flagpole at the town boundary on Shea Boulevard.

SRP had earlier decided that the previously updated pole put the flag too close to power lines and would not allow the flag to fly.

The cell tower has been replaced with a new faux palm in a self-storage yard on Laser Drive.
