Thursday debut for farmers market, art show
Posted
Vendors selling fresh produce, homemade pasta, gourmet salts and tasty tortillas return Thursday, Oct. 31, for the re-opening of the Farmers Market.
New Farmers Market co-ordinator Aaron Eckburg said shoppers will find more than 50 food vendors.
Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., each Thursday, through mid-April.
On opening day, the market and “Art on the Avenue” artists will set up in the Centennial Circle, next to the Community Center, library and River of Time Museum because of Halloween in the Hills on the Avenue.
Again on Nov. 7, due to the Festival of Arts and Crafts, the location will be the Centennial Circle.
After that, the events will be held on the Avenue.
Judi Yates, coordinator of “Art on the Avenue,” expects more than 75 local craftsman and artisans will sell their work on a rotating basis each week.
