Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic dispute in the 16000 block of Arroyo Vista on Sunday, Feb. 15, and arrested a man and a woman on domestic violence related charges.

Deputies responded to a report from the woman that her husband was angry and acting “crazy” with a gun.

When deputies arrived they found the woman standing at the front door with a gun pointed inside the house. They were able to persuade her to put the gun down before questioning those involved. The gun was not loaded.

The two had gotten into an argument over text messages the husband found on the woman’s phone.

The woman faces charges of domestic violence aggravated assault, domestic violence disorderly conduct/reckless handling of a deadly weapon and domestic violence endangerment. The man faces charges of domestic violence assault and domestic violence threatening and intimidating.

*On Thursday, Feb. 5, a Fountain Hills woman reported her son had assaulted her at a residence in the 16000 block of Ashbrook Drive. Following a verbal altercation she said the son punched her and pushed her face into a door jamb. He faces charges of domestic violence assault with intent to cause injury and domestic violence disorderly conduct.

*On Tuesday, Feb. 10, a Fountain Hills man reported his wife’s vehicle had been damaged as she tried to pull into their driveway in the 14000 block of Saguaro Boulevard where there is ongoing construction. The vehicle bottomed out damaging the oil pan.

*On Friday, Feb. 13, a Fountain Hills woman reported she was struck by her boyfriend when she refused to let him into a residence in the 14000 block of Yerba Buena. He was cited and booked for domestic violence assault and domestic violence disorderly conduct.

*On Thursday, Feb. 12, a Fountain Hills man was arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on Fountain Hills Boulevard. A deputy observed the vehicle being driven by a man known to have a suspended license and a warrant for his arrest. During the traffic stop he was found to be in possession of narcotics.

*On Friday, Feb. 13, deputies responded to a report of a cactus in the roadway and discovered a vehicle accident on Shea Boulevard near Eagle Mountain Parkway. The driver had lost control and jumped the curb, striking desert landscaping and a fire hydrant.

*On Friday, Feb. 13, a Fountain Hills man was cited and released for aggressive driving and driving with a suspended license. The vehicle was towed.

*On Friday, Feb. 13, deputies received a report of juveniles disturbing and harassing students attending a band party. The suspects were wearing masks and were throwing pizza. The suspects were identified and interviewed by deputies. It was determined to be more of a prank and no action was taken by MCSO.

*On Monday, Feb. 16, deputies investigated a traffic accident at Saguaro and Shea boulevards. A vehicle making a right turn was struck by a second vehicle making a turn. One vehicle crossed over a construction barricade and struck the second.

*On Monday, Feb. 16, a Fountain Hills woman reported her boyfriend assaulted her by choking and pushing her to the ground. The information was forwarded to the county attorney to consider charges.

*On Monday, Feb. 16, a Fountain Hills man was notified by Turbo Tax that someone had used his information to file income taxes.

*On Tuesday, Feb. 17, deputies received a report of a shoplifter at the Fountain Hills Target store. The subject was in the store for about 10 minutes and left with merchandise valued at $400.

*On Thursday, Feb. 19, a Fountain Hills man was arrested for DUI with a blood alcohol level in excess of .20. Deputies made a traffic stop when the man was seen driving erratically and dangerously close to other vehicles.

*On Wednesday, Feb. 18, a Fountain Hills man reported the theft of property valued at $25,000 from his residence about a year ago. He suspects his ex-girlfriend of the theft and waited to report because she is planning to return to Arizona from out of state.
