Maricopa County Sheriff’s detectives arrested two suspects, a man and a woman, for the theft of $2,259 in electronics equipment from the Fountain Hills Target store.

The pair allegedly took items from the store on two occasions on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26. The property stolen included Amazon Fire Sticks.

The two suspects were arrested on Friday, Nov. 17, and are facing charges of felony theft, trafficking in stolen property and shoplifting.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 22, deputies arrested a man in connection with a burglary on Trevino Drive in Fountain Hills on May 23 of this year. The suspect faces charges of criminal damage for breaking a window to enter, theft and burglary.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 21, a resident of the 17000 block of Grande Boulevard reported $200 in damage to their mailbox by a hit and run driver.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 22, a deputy took custody of a Phoenix man from Fort McDowell Police. The man was wanted on three outstanding warrants from Mesa, Gilbert and DPS. He was taken to Phoenix and booked into jail.

*On Thursday, Nov. 23, a Scottsdale man was stopped for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane. He was also cited for driving with a suspended license plate and not proof of mandatory insurance.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 22, deputies arrested a Fountain Hills woman on suspicion she was involved in a robbery in Black Canyon City. Deputies went to the address where a suspect vehicle is registered at the request of Yavapai County Sheriff. The woman was transferred to Yavapai County.

*On Friday, Nov. 24, a Rio Verde resident reported receiving a call from a man identifying himself as MCSO Lt. Palmer. He stated there was a warrant for the person’s arrested based on missing jury duty. The suspect asked for $2,000 in bond from the resident. The incident was reported to MCSO as fraud.

*On Sunday, Nov. 26, deputies responded to a reported vehicle accident on Fountain Hills Boulevard at Ashbrook Drive. The driver left the scene. Deputies found that the vehicle went into the median and struck a tree and sign. The driver turned around and drove home. He was cited for having no insurance.

*On Sunday, Nov. 26, a deputy stopped a Phoenix man for speeding on Saguaro Boulevard at Ledferd Lane and discovered the driver was wanted on a warrant from Scottsdale. He was released to Scottsdale Police for booking.

*On Friday, Nov. 24, deputies received a report from the SunRidge Canyon Golf Club that someone had cut back several trees along the course that were meant as protection for nearby houses. Deputies learned that a Thanksgiving Day discussion by a resident and family resulted in a man cutting the trees back to improve the golf course view. The golf club estimates the damage at $5,000 to $6,000 making the criminal damage in excess of $1,000 and a class 6 felony. The report is being submitted to prosecutors for charges.

*On Sunday, Nov. 26, a suspect went into the Circle K convenience store and grabbed two bottles of liquor and four cans of Four Loco and left without paying.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 21, deputies received a report of a juvenile assault at the Fountain Hills Middle School. A parent reported their son had been pushed down and kicked by two other juvenile males.

*On Monday, Nov. 27, deputies stopped a Phoenix man for speeding on North 144th Street within Maricopa County. The driver was also cited for driving with a suspended license and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

*On Tuesday, Nov. 28, a Tuba City, Ariz. woman was stopped by a deputy for failing to stop for the stop sign at Saguaro Boulevard and Avenue of the Fountains. She was also cited for driving with a revoked license and having no proof of insurance.

*On Wednesday, Nov. 29, deputies received a report that someone had stolen an iPad from a local restaurant. The tablet was being used to control music in the restaurant and it was discovered gone after staff noticed the music stopped.
