A Fountain Hills resident called the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office from Spain to report a friend had called to say there were several people having a party at his residence on Sunday, July 20.

The resident had asked the friend to go to his house to pick something up when it was discovered there were several other people at the home in the 16000 block of Saguaro Boulevard.

Deputies responded to the scene and found five people all 18 and 19 years of age inside the home. When questioned separately all said that a young man, apparently the son of the homeowner, had given them permission to be there.

The homeowner asked that the residence be cleaned up, but wanted no charges for trespassing.

*On Monday, July 21, deputies responded to a report of an accident in the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive. A motorist was pulling from a driveway and was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver coming out of the driveway was cited.

*On Tuesday, July 22, a resident of the 14000 block of Yerba Buena reported that someone had spray painted white paint on a vehicle parked in front of residence.

*On Sunday, July 20, deputies received a report from a possible witness to an assault incident at the Lexington Hotel that a purse left inside the hotel room at the direction of deputies was missing.

*On Thursday, July 17, a Fountain Hills man reported receiving a phone call from someone identifying themselves as a Sheriff’s official saying the man’s wife was wanted on a warrant and would not be arrested if a payment were made.

*On Saturday, July 19, a deputy stopped a Tempe man traveling 70 miles per hour on Saguaro Boulevard and subsequently arrested the man for DUI.

*On Tuesday, July 22, a resident of the 13000 block of Hamilton Drive called to report someone had damaged a metal security gate to gain entry into an apartment. Damage is estimated at $200.

*On Thursday, July 24, a Fountain Hills man called to report he had been assaulted by his father. However, when deputies arrived the victim was uncooperative and did not want to press charges. No arrest was made.

*On Thursday, July 24, a resident of the 15000 block of Valverde Drive reported two fuses were stolen from an air conditioner that was being serviced at the time. The service technicians did not know what happened to the fuses but offered to help replace them.

*On Thursday, July 24, deputies responded when a vehicle pulling from a driveway near Saguaro and El Lago boulevards struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian declined medical assistance.

*On Thursday, July 24, deputies received a Text-A-Tip about a party in the 16000 block of Agate Knoll. Those at the party quickly noticed the patrol vehicle around the corner and moved the party indoors and out of sight. Deputies stayed on the scene observing whatever activity was visible, but were unable to obtain a warrant to take action.

*On Friday, July 25, deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Fountain Hills Boulevard at Pinto Drive. A motorist traveling south on Fountain Hills Boulevard had to swerve to avoid a vehicle coming off Pinto Drive. The southbound driver struck the median curb damaging her vehicle. The second vehicle was not struck.

*On Friday, July 25, a woman reported that multiple credit cards and cash were stolen from her while she was having a massage at a spa in Fountain Hills.

*On Saturday, July 26, a Fort McDowell woman was arrested for DUI after a gas station attendant reported a badly damaged vehicle pulling into the pumps.

*On Saturday, July 26, a man reported someone had struck his vehicle and left the scene near Fairfax and Galatea drives. Deputies were able to contact the second driver who said she had actually come to a stop and was struck by the other driver. Deputies found no fault in the accident and had the two parties exchange insurance information.

*On Monday, July 28, deputies arrested a disorderly male after he was released from the hospital. He had earlier gone into the Comfort Inn on Shea Boulevard and began breaking furniture and causing damage when told he was not registered. He was taken to the hospital for observation due to his mental state.
