Four Peaks Rotary learns, grows

The Four Peaks Rotary Club remains active early this summer, gaining one member and helping out a graduating high school senior.

Dianne McNamara recently joined the club.

She is an attorney and consultant with more than 20 years of professional experience in management, administration, business strategy and policy relating to employer retirement plans, health and wellness programs, aging services and long-term care.

Her studies culminated in the publication of her master’s thesis, an innovative program evaluation of a medical-model adult day services center specializing in dementia care.

She then returned to private law practice.

“Being new to Arizona, I’m looking for service opportunities where my diverse and unique background can be embraced and utilized to help the community,” McNamara said.

“I value the Rotary ideals and have been impressed with everyone I’ve met. I’m honored to serve for Rotary.”

The club in May awarded its annual Roy A. Tuttle scholarship award to FHHS graduating senior Sarah Traylor.

Traylor recently thanked the club for its financial support.

“I’ve seen the incredible good that Rotary does both in our community and across the globe,” she said. “RYLA has been a formative part of my life and I love the dedication that Rotary members make to help the youth.

“Rotary will continue to be a part of my life as I enter college, and some day I aspire to join so that I can help give back what has been given to me.”

Dr. Nick Schultz of HealthSource Chiropractic recently talked to the club on the causes and prevention of lower back pain.

His office, located on the Fountain Hills Medical Campus, treats a variety of issues such as back pain, carpal tunnel, arthritis, migraines, sciatica, balance and vertigo and more.

He told the Rotarians a key issue in maintaining health is eating a balanced diet along with staying hydrated and getting adequate sleep.

The club meets the second and fourth Thursday morning of the month at 7 a.m. at the Golf Club at Eagle Mountain.
