It’s hard to say who has been better to whom.
But it is fair to say that the Goyena Team – Joe Go, Carol and Kimberly – have done as much for the community as the community has done for them.
The Goyenas have been in Fountain Hills since 1981. They were not in the real estate business when they moved here. Joe had been in the moving business, and Carol worked for a plumbing company. Their children were young in a young community.
After a few ups and downs, Joe Go (who prefers to be called Joe Go, not just Joe) found himself in the real estate business. Not too many years later, Carol joined him. When their children grew up, they, too, decided to sell real estate.
Joe Go, Carol and Kimberly have spent their careers working for MCO Realty. They were “Sales Team of the Year” for 12 consecutive years between 1994 and 2005. They have sold more than $300 million worth of homes collectively, and collectively, they have more than 66 years of experience selling Fountain Hills properties.
“For the past 25 years, we have worked hard to help Fountain Hills become the kind of town our children would want to bring up their children,” Joe Go said. “We are proud to be a part of this community.”
The Goyena Team – or more accurately the Goyena family – lives by its motto, “We get results because we care.” They are not on the sidelines of community activities. They are involved. They help, and they create.
For the past five years, the Goyena Team has sponsored the Eggstravaganza, supplying and placing some 12,500 plastic Easter eggs filled with toys and candy over three baseball fields at Golden Eagle Park. They felt that when the Town said it no longer could afford to sponsor the event, it was important enough to take it over and continue it.
“You really can’t believe how the kids love the Eggstravaganza,” Joe Go said. “I would feel let down if the event wasn’t being held, and we decided to continue it.”
Joe and Carol are charter members of the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, serving in that capacity for almost 20 years. Additionally, the Goyenas, as a member of Sunset Kiwanis, formed the Fountain of Youth Club, an informal organization designed to provide young people with things to do, such as going to water parks, movies and other activities. The group appeared at Fountain Park with the Fountain as a backdrop on ABC’s “Good Morning, America.”
The Goyena Team enjoys the benefit of 98 percent referral and repeat business.
“We convert inquiries into sales, and clients into friends,” Joe Go said.
For the past 14 years, the Goyenas’ friends, clients, customers and people who provide referrals look forward to attending the annual Goyena Team Thank You Party. For the past five years, the attendance filled the Community Center to capacity.
“Everybody has a really good time, and nobody leaves hungry,” Joe Go said.
The Goyena Team can be reached seven days a week at MCO Realty’s branch office at Plaza Fountainside, 12645 N. Saguaro Blvd., Suite 12. Call (480) 837-0733 or visit their web site, www.joego.com.
