Eagles Nest, the gated custom-lot community on the eastern slopes of the McDowell Mountains, anticipates its first home residents by early 2008.

A number of homes are in various stages of construction, said Shelley Johnson, spokesperson for MCO Properties.

“We expect several custom homes to be completed and ready for residents to move in this fall.  It’s very exciting to see all the custom home construction occurring in Eagles Nest.”

More than 25 homes are in the design review process, said Johnson.

“With a total of only 244 custom home sites in this gated, 500-acre mountainside community, the limited lots are in demand,” said Johnson. 

With each lot measuring at least one acre in size, property owners find they are surrounded with an abundance of natural desert foliage and wildlife throughout the neighborhood.
