Bison Country: Life's different up here

Life’s different up here in northeastern Arizona. That’s the view of the folks at Bison Homes, a leading builder of “resort lifestyle” homes. In this region rich with pine trees and breathtaking vistas, Bison Homes communities span from Payson to Heber-Overgaard to Show Low. The Bison approach combines picturesque locations in the White Mountains and Rim Country with quality construction and a variety of amenities to create a luxurious yet affordable resort lifestyle.

“We offer a resort lifestyle in an area that has everything you could want in terms of location and amenities,” said Gary Martinson, founder and president of Bison Homes.  Established in Arizona in 1980, Bison Homes has developed a reputation as a leader in providing mountain retreat living in a variety of styles and budgets, and offers several communities from which to choose.

Bison Crossing is a 350+ acre project that combines several housing options with the renovation of the former Show Low Country Club, now Bison Golf & Country Club. The course renovation was overseen by PGA Tour player, Billy Mayfair. From The Golf Estates, a luxury gated community spread across the Crossing’s Grand Meadow, to The Retreat, luxury cabins nestled in the pines, the homes featured at Bison Crossing provide something for every taste and budget.

Bison Cove, a country style condominium development in Payson, offers units in a variety of styles and prices just 90 minutes from Phoenix.

Bison Ridge is a 300+ acre development nestled in the pines outside Show Low offering everything from luxury cabins and single family homes to condos and casitas. Prices start in the high $100s.

The Golf Villas and Golf Casitas at Torreon, located within the prestigious Torreon Golf Club in Show Low, feature luxury duplexes and condos starting in the mid $200s.

Bison Ranch, a 160 acre mixed-use project, is located in Overgaard. It’s well known for its vintage 1800’s western town. “The Ranch”, the first of Bison’s mountain communities, also features a retreat center, resort suites, and cozy cabin homes.

And now, Bison Homes is proud to announce the opening of the Bison Museum in Scottsdale. The museum showcases Arizona’s premier bison and Western collection, including the recently recovered work of the Flagg family, Scottsdale’s own “first family” of Western artists. State Historian, Marshall Trimble offers a rave review. “One of the finest museums in the Southwest,” states Trimble. “They’ve done a wonderful job over there. The Flagg display is outstanding.”

So from retreat cabins to country condos, from vintage Western town to Western museum, next time you’re looking for something different out of life, it’s time you experienced Bison Country.
