The Fountain
A Guide to Fountain Hills & Northeast Scottsdale

Bison Homes creates areas that are lifestyles

A graceful lifestyle is the end result of any Bison Homes community.

Owner Gary Martinson has followed his philosophy and created areas that are lifestyles in themselves.

Fountain Hills residents are familiar with homes under the name Mirage Homes, the parent company of Bison Homes. A current project is the near-completion of Eagle’s Landing, the refurbishing of the former Club Mirage. Eagle’s Landing includes new condos, as well as a renovated recreation center. The grand opening of the complex is slated for Nov. 10, 11 and 12.

Martinson built his first homes in 1970 in North Dakota. In the early 1980s, he moved his family to Arizona and began his business here. More than 1800 homes and 250,000-square-feet of commercial projects have been built under the Mirage banner.

Bison Homes has expanded its market to North Scottsdale and Oro Valley near Tucson. The company also has developments near Heber/Overgaard and Show Low in Northeastern Arizona

Communities developed by Bison Homes emulate resort lifestyles. Amenities such as golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools and beautiful, natural surroundings are part of Bison’s and Mirage’s projects. Bison Ranch, located near Overgaard, features Bisontown, a reproduction of an 1800s Western town, with a saloon, shops and restaurants. Bisontown also is home to a herd of buffalo.

Bringing the feel of a vacation into everyday living is one of the goals of Bison Homes. Martinson says making a resort lifestyle a daily reality is the goal of Bison Homes. For information, call (480) 837-8700, or visit www.bisonhomes.com.
