According to owner Tim Cornelius, First Impression offers the highest quality in all their ornamental iron products. First Impression fabricates beautiful Old World iron entry doors, security/screen doors, decorative entry and security gates, patio enclosures, decorative railings, window security guards and window sunscreens.

Cornelius said First Impression provides a lifetime installation warranty under normal use and conditions.

“We have great confidence in our employee installers to do the job right the first time,” he said.

The lifetime warranty also covers the overall structural integrity of the welded frame and door or gate, sill, hinges and screws. The company also features a two-year parts warranty.

“Although we are growing very fast, our business is family-owned and operated,” Cornelius said. “We intend to keep it that way. We enjoy the face-to-face contact with our customers and working with them to create custom designs to suit their tastes and lifestyles.”

First Impression has a wide assortment of designs from which customers can select. Customers also are encouraged to use their own custom designs if desired.

“We want people to get what they want,” Cornelius said. “If a customer has a design in mind and we don’t have it, we can help the customer create the look he or she wants.”

All the products made by First Impression come in a wide assortment of designs.

“We often see customers deciding to create their own unique designs,” Cornelius said. “They work closely with our design team to be sure they get what they want.”

Cornelius said there is a strong interest in railings around the front of the home to complement the iron gate design.

“Customers are increasingly requesting decorative railings for their homes to match their entry gates and front security doors,” he said. “Rails add class, beauty and value to any home. Our custom designs give our customers complete flexibility to create their own design statements.”

Standard features in all First Impression products are numerous, and plenty of options are available. Among the standard offerings are custom measured doors and gates, 16-gauge steel frame and one-way lag screws for the strongest and most secure installation. Other features include an expander bar with a double rubber sweep to keep bugs out, an automatic door closer and wind chain, a powder coated finish to protect the door and others. More than 50 powder coat colors are available, and First Impression does the powder coating to keep quality high.

First Impression Security Doors is based in Gilbert. The office and showroom are located at 1415 N. Mondel Drive. The main store is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The company also has displays at the Mesa Marketplace in Mesa and the Goodyear Marketplace in Goodyear. The Markets are open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Mesa Market is located at the northwest corner of Signal Butte and Baseline, and the Goodyear Marketplace is located at I-10W and Cotton Lane.
