Summer Market opens at the River of Time

Find hidden treasures in Fountain Hills

Posted

It’s time for the annual Summer Market at the L. Alan Cruikshank River of Time Museum & Exploration Center.

The annual fundraiser opened Wednesday, May 1, and extends through the end of the month. Thanks to the generosity of the Fountain Hills and Rio Verde communities, the art gallery space at the museum is bursting at the seams with merchandise, according to a press release.

Gently used as well as new home décor and household items line the tables throughout the gallery. Works of art, also for sale, are displayed in the reception area. Also included in this sale are several deeply discounted items from the River Banks Gift Shop.

This year’s selection features several valuable vintage pieces and collectibles.

According to Director of Operations Yvonne Prater, the Summer Market has been a creative way to bring in guests who have found great treasures during the slower summer season.

Summer Market is a wonderful, well-loved community event that raises funds to operate the River of Time.

Donations are accepted through May 15. Items could include gently used household items and décor. Linens, bedding and clothing are not accepted.

To donate, contact Barb Gierer at bkgierer@gmail.com.

The sale kicked off Wednesday, May 1, and runs through May 31 during regular museum hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

The River of Time Museum is located at 12901 N. La Montana Drive. For more information, visit riveroftime.center or call 480-837-2612.
