It is spring in the desert and another year for wildflowers.
The community is invited to grab their smartphones or cameras and join the Fountain Hills Photography Club to learn stories and tips on how to capture that special shot - be it wildflowers, wildlife or wild folk, a press release read.
The Fountain Hills Photo Club is an enthusiastic group representing all levels of expertise who want to take the best possible images and support each other’s efforts with shared knowledge, the release said.
The club offers hints and how-to’s on a wide range of topics including choosing a camera or smartphone, the fundamentals of composition, focus, lighting, portraits and landscapes.
The club also discusses and demonstrates editing and/or post-processing - taking the mystery out of Photoshop or Lightroom.
Later this spring, the club will hold an exhibition of members’ works in the Community Center – an opportunity for all Fountain Hills Photography members to enjoy.
The Fountain Hills Photo Club meets every second Wednesday of the month from 5:45 to 7:45 p.m. at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
The club welcomes anyone to come join the fun and add talents and passion to the group. Cookies are provided during social breaks.
