Donations still needed for fireworks

The community will observe the Fourth of July this year with a no alcohol, no admission celebration in Fountain Park, but funds are still needed to make sure this year’s event goes off without a hitch.
Town staffers are planning and organizing the free event that is expected to include fireworks. The new format will require raising about $26,000 to cover basic costs.
For those wishing to make a contribution to the Fourth of July celebration, checks may be made out to “Town of Fountain Hills Fourth of July.”
Donations to the event may be dropped off at Town Hall or delivered to Phyliss Kern, who is coordinating fundraising, at Kern Realty, 1742 E. Parkview Ave. #3.
